Richard Martillaro is a licensed Colorado attorney who has been in good standing for 17 years.  His practice focuses on Criminal Defense Law, Personal Injury Law, and Bankruptcy Law.

In 1989 Richard received his Bachelor of Arts Undergraduate Degree in Political Science with a Minor in History from the California State University at Chico. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1994 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. After becoming a licensed attorney, he opened his law practice in 1995 in Westminster, Colorado.

Richard is a member of the Colorado State Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court, District of Colorado.

In 2001, Richard litigated a personal injury case, the first of its kind in the nation, Preston v. Top Nails, where he obtained a $3.1 million judgment for his client. This was the largest jury verdict award in Arapahoe County history. Due to the nature of the case and the size of the award, Richard and his client were interviewed on Good Morning America by Diane Sawyer, as well as numerous other media networks, including Tyra Banks. From this experience, he has become a national resource for all attorneys in this area of litigation.

Richard is a third generation Coloradan. He resides in Arvada, Colorado with his wife and three daughters.
